Coverage & Placement
One BugZap protects one outdoor zone — a patio, a porch, or a seating area. Place it 1–2 meters from where people sit so it draws bugs away from you, not toward you. Most customers run two (front + back) or four for full perimeter coverage.
Setup — Under One Minute
Push the stake into the lawn or a planter (or hang it from the built-in hook), flip the switch to AUTO, and you're done. It charges itself in daylight and switches on by itself at dusk. No cords, no outlets, no batteries to swap, nothing to refill.
Shipping & Delivery
Orders ship within 24–48 hours and typically arrive in about a week. Bundles ship free. You'll get tracking the moment it leaves the warehouse.
Lifetime Warranty & Returns
Every BugZap is covered by our lifetime warranty: if it ever stops working, we send a replacement. Changed your mind? Our support team will sort out a return — no interrogation.

We eat dinner on the patio again. Staked it by the fence two weeks ago, set it to auto and haven't touched it since. The evening zaps are honestly satisfying to hear.

Bought the Front + Back set. What sold me was no wiring — our porch has no outlet and this just... works. Doubles as a nice path light too.

Took one camping over the weekend. Hung it off the awning, it charged in the car window on the drive up. Way better than sitting in a cloud of spray.

SUMMER SALE — BUNDLES SHIP FREE
Zaedos BugZap staked in a lawn at dusk, glowing and protecting a patio
How the solar zapper works: charges by day, senses dusk, zaps all night

Your Evenings Back In Four Steps

No sprays to reapply, no candles to relight, no cords to run across the lawn. Set it once and it works every night of the summer.

From box to bug-free in under a minute

1

Stake It Where They Bite

Push the stake into the lawn near your seating area — or hang it by the built-in hook on a porch, balcony, or tent.

2

Flip It to AUTO

That's the whole setup. The light sensor takes over from here.

3

It Charges While You Work

The solar panel tops up the battery all day — no outlet, no charging cable, no battery swaps.

4

It Hunts While You Relax

At dusk the UV light switches on and draws mosquitoes, flies and wasps into the grid — away from you and into the zap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Contact Us
How much area does one BugZap cover?
Think in zones, not acres: one unit protects one seating area (patio, porch, balcony). For a typical house we recommend the Front + Back set, and the Whole-Yard Kit if you want perimeter coverage.
Does it really never need charging?
Correct — the built-in solar panel charges the battery during the day and the dusk sensor switches the zapper on at night. In AUTO mode you never touch it. Just place it where the panel gets direct sun.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Yes. The zap grid sits behind a protective cage that fingers and paws can't reach, and there are no chemicals, fumes or sprays involved. It's quiet apart from the occasional (satisfying) zap.
What happens when it rains?
Nothing — the housing is IP65 weatherproof, so rain, sprinklers and morning dew won't bother it. It's designed to stay outside from May to September.
What does the lifetime warranty actually cover?
Simple: if your BugZap ever stops charging or zapping, contact us and we ship you a replacement. It's the same lifetime warranty we put behind every Zaedos product.

No more spraying the grandkids

What sold me was no chemicals. When the grandkids visit I used to coat them in repellent before they could go play. Now this thing just sits in the flower bed doing its job and nobody smells like bug spray at the dinner table.

Works great — once I moved it into the sun

First spot I picked was under a big maple and it only ran a few hours a night. Moved it to the sunny side of the yard and now it goes all evening. Docking a star because I had to figure that out myself — put the panel in direct sun and you're golden.

Lives on my camper now

Bought it for the yard, but it ended up coming camping with us. Charged on the dash during the drive, hung it off the awning at night. The hook is sturdier than it looks. Campfire evenings without the constant slapping — worth it for that alone.

My neighbor ordered two after one evening here

Had friends over for a crawfish boil and the patio stayed comfortable the whole evening. My neighbor kept asking about the purple lantern by the fence. She ordered the two-pack from her phone before dessert.

Gets the flies and wasps too

Mosquitoes were the reason I bought it, but it's been picking off the flies that hover around the grill and a couple of wasps that had opinions about my deck. One less thing buzzing around my head while I cook.

Prettier than I expected

Honestly I expected an ugly plastic gadget I'd want to hide. It looks like a normal garden lantern, and on light mode it's actually a nice warm path light. Guests don't even realize it's a zapper until it... announces itself.

Safe around my dog, which was my worry

Our lab investigates everything in the yard with his nose. The grid is behind the cage so there's nothing he can get to, and no chemicals on the lawn. He sniffed it twice, decided it was boring, and now they coexist on the porch.

67 years old, set it up in two minutes

No app, no account, no instructions you need glasses for. Push the stake in the ground, flip the switch to auto, done. It turns itself on every evening like clockwork. My kind of gadget.

Results depend on placement and sunlight. Position 1–2 m from seating areas with the panel in direct sun.
